i'll have to get a photo up of the interior!

It's actually a very rare colour for the later MPi models (96 to 99), especially with the matching
green leather. For some reason it wasn't a popular colour option, in the late 90's, most opting for
British Racing Green. Personally, I love Almond Green, it gives the car a really classic look.

The 1996 Cooper 35 LE was only available in this colour too, for the UK market.

Enjoy the car !!

I owned an almond green MPI a few years ago and I only know of one other almond green Mini near me, it does seem to be a less common color.

yeah i was nearly buying a red/white mini cooper, but then came across the almond green/white mini cooper.

It definitely gives it a classic look!

I'm glad i went for it, as it does seem to be rare for the year.

The fellow that's restoring it is doing a bang up job and taking his time.

At one time this Mini was supposed to be owned by Bobby Rahal, ex professnial racer with a bit of history with Jaguar
( In 2000, Rahal joined the Jaguar Formula One team in a managerial capacity. During this time, Rahal attempted to hire championship-winning aerodynamicist Adrian Newey, briefly believing that the deal had been completed. However, Rahal was fired after reportedly attempting to sell driver Eddie Irvine to rivals Jordan. Ironically, the team fired Irvine little more than a year after firing Rahal.)

He is restoring it up to original specs, in as much as he can. Which includes converting it back to hydro suspension.

I know of another one for sale although its not being advertised anywhere. I can buy it for £3000 and theirs no rust on it what so ever. I just wish I had the money. Its got the matching interior as well.

I'm convinced there are two almond green colours...
I believe that the 1960's almond green ( HAK BLVC1212) is a touch darker.
The MG rover colour as used on the 35 (Code: AWZ101100) is exactly the same as my resprayed mini below.

hiya everyone i have a 1999 mini cooper sports pack.

Now the colour of it is Almond Green, when ive been looking for other mini's forsale, i find that this is the most rare colour to find, and dont come across many if any!

was this not a popular colour at the time?

is it actualy a rare colour on minis at that time?

even though, really like the colour as it seems to be a more vintage colour.

heres a pic for u 2 see.

hi there

i saw a 1997 mini exactly like yours for sale in the november 2010 edition of mini mag priced at £4500.
i personaly think they look cool as they have a more vintage look to all the other matalic colors rover were painting minis with
