Haha, I didn't realise photobucket had a direct link. Matty is a top guy and is sorting the issue.
Fueling is fine considering its an open throttle body and runs good just need to sort an induction system and filter when money allows as from past experience it isn't really beneficial running an open throttle body.

Yes. Just click on any photo and it opens up photobucket in a new tab. Hope you don't mind.
Space is tight but I think my air filter should fit.

You go for it haha.
That's cool you having an induction come filter kit?

Mine is like that and works perfectly :) plenty of flow to the intake but i may still put ducting there in the future just to see what happens. Be careful as ive had overheating issues at 80mph+... no idea why!

Many years ago a guy did a report on engine bay temps ( think it was on minifinity before the crash) in the mini. He went about it properly with temp sensor in Various locations etc and what he found was over 30mph (I think) the air temp was the same as outside which negated the use of cold air intakes.

Did you get that filter off eBay? It was what I was looking to do but put it closer to the grill like shinglers build.
Cool!

Yes its an EBay job.
They had one with a built in ram pipe that I fancied but it was much longer and would foul the triangular strengthener on the inner wing. It might however fit down the front next to the clutch arm with ducting to the TB.
I'm pretty sure your FF inlet manifold offers more room for a filter than my home made job (but it doesn't look as good!).
But if under bonnet temp is not a problem then I wouldn't bother.

Hello all.
Small update. Final got a filter system sorted.
Just sorting out rose jointed steering arms to eliminate as much bump steer as I can because it's all over the place.
Had the car weighted and four wheel aligned so feel much safer. Will follow pics of jointed arms soon.

Evening all, hope we are well.
Having the mini on the road for a while and I really dislike coilovers, to be honest there simply dangerous on the road and possibly on track if all was to go wrong.
I finally have Hilos and Red Spot Cones.
I have been researching and with my setup and info off minispares I needed to loose some material. So I attacked them with the lathe but I was also keen to keep the locking nut.
Looking to get them installed asap as I have a track day at Snetterton next month.

This happened:
I was rather impressed with how it failed. One because the stainless steel bars didn't break at all. Second my welds didn't move (at the bottom.)
The plan is to refresh the metal and have a rubber support under the alternator going onto the subframe. I don't want to bolt it to the subframe for obvious reason but I just need to try and absorb some of the flexing! Without it looking to heavy handed.
