You could combine it with a charity trip,
Any Mad mini drivers willing to drive to the cape say for children in need 2011 (With a stop at said yard?)

Would be a hell of a long trip down, just driving up to the congo, which is not that far in comparison would take you 3 days driving, with a truck a little longer. Then border fees, the congo is a bit funny at the moment, specially the interior. And there no paperwork for any of the cars, making border crossing even more difficult than they already are.
Can you tell i though about this?
But it would be a fun road trip!!

Anyway, when I was a child I remember them visiting the UK and him telling me he owned 5 classic cars, in various lock ups, but had no way of getting them out of the country. He said the value of what he had was worth about 250K in the UK and about 15K in Zim.

If ever the farms are farmed again and the grass is cut back, alot of people will be in for some suprises.
Being a once colonial power, and not putting salt on their roads there are alot of the cars that we love there.

Yep. Looks like the early E93A.

Later ones seem to have the headlights integral to the wings.
Interesting to 'meet' someone who was personally involved with what went on out there. Is it getting better now? You don't tend to see much in the media now it isn't current news, well at least as the papers see it. I don't know about others here, but when you said you were kicked out in 2001 I found it quite emotional. It must be so depressing going back to see what's left of the farm.

Though i would put up some other pics of Zimbabwe.
Met alot of people here at uni who hear about it in the news but only hear bad things, automatically branding it as dark and unappealing. Thought i might give a little perspective..
The faithful truck let took me 35,000 km around Africa without fault .....
