Personally TORN.
I don't want to trawl through a load on BINI chat written By clueless rich kids who want to talk 18" rims and HI-FI.
But on the other hand where ther is a BINI 3 times out of 5 it is being driven by a hottie lady !!
Mmm Bini chav chat vs Hottie ladies -- dilemmas

I think it's would be a good idea as more and more people are joining the mini/MINI family be it a classic or new or both. Many new mini owners have come from classics and their information can be very helpful to others. Many are put off joining due to the negative comments that are put on on here I know a few who don't come on here now because of it and most of them have both cars one for daily the other for weekend/shows etc.
Total mini has a classic section on it's forum and new owners go on it to give good advice to questions put on it and there is no nasty comments from them about the classic on it. This way people not bothered about the new mini ( I won't call it a bini because I hate that term I'd never think of putting classic mini together and call it a cini because I hate that to!) don't have to read it or comment.

hmm
plenty of MINI forums
such as MINI2, bimmerforums.com/ etc.
MINI people are welcome, its just mainly a mini forum
so technical advice is lacking
and a few members despise the larger german bmw mini which is fine, freedom of speech and that
and some members have both
but i think no we shouldnt have a bini chat
as theyre not really that small and most members dont really have an intrest in them
and if they did would join a BIG MINI forum to chat about them there
