I'm in the process of buying a 2007 Mini Cooper with the Chili Pack but can't find out what extras that includes. I can find the spec for the 2010 Chili pack, does this include the same features or have they changed over time?

you would be better off with a MINI forum for those type of questions

The chilli pack has mostly stayed the same throughout the years, the Mk1 Chilli pack Isnt much different from the one you can buy on the new 2010 model.

But as posted above, you will be better off on a MINI forum, not MINI2 though, that place is a dump

I have most brochures for most models from 2002 So If you'd like to borrow the one for the chilli pack I'l glady post you it for a week or two.

Apologies for posting in the wrong place. Thank you for the kind offer. Will try to get the info from th dealer, wouldn't like to risk your brochures to the tender care of the Post Office if I can do it any other way. thank you again :dontgetit:

You haven't posted in the wrong place! Some of our members cannot resist telling anyone asking about the new MINI to go elsewhere, despite being asked to stop many times. This forum is for both Minis and MINIs, many of our members drive both and as you have found many do know the answers to these questions if they get the chance to respond before someone jumps in and scares off the poster. Technical advice for the new MINI we have only a small stock of, but general information we have tons of.

I could always scan it in for you ;) And you're right, Royal mail are useless nowadays!

As Dan says, stick around, MINI owners are more than welcome here on TMF.

Bit eager there Dan in my opinion. He didn't say 'go away, you own spawn of Satan'. He said you might get better/quicker answers on a MINI based forum. Didn't say anything about not being welcome or members here knowing nothing of Binis. Last I knew of this was still a Classic Mini based forum, most members are here for discussion of Classic Minis and not Binis. Hence, I'm sure there is a greater and wider wealth of knowledge and information on the Bini, on a Bini forum.

Therefore it was more kind and helpful advice on a more suitable place to find the information required, rather than anyone 'having a go'. Pretty sure that's what both wolfie and Craig were saying. Just my two pence.

*cough*

TMF rules and regulations:

"TMF however is focused on the Classic Mini, therefore it is appropriate to direct any technical advice on BMW MINI's to a more relevant forum if you cannot answer the question. Below is a link to MINI2 - an online community dedicated to the BMW MINI"

it is acceptable since 90% of us have no idea about the bini and the people at other places probably know a fair deal more

I think only a few MINI owners are likely to stick around for long while there are still TMF members who can't bring themselves to use the correct name of MINI or New Mini at least when welcoming them as potential new members..............
Most MINI owners find the term 'Bini' insulting as you would expect if they called the Mini some other or mispelt name.

Can the swear filter not be changed so when someone types, "Bini" it's automatically changed to, "MINI"?

It's quite childish calling it a Bini, and the swear filter thing has worked on other forums I have used, granted we made it change the word 'lol' to 'sausage' because one of the regulars would have 'lol' about 5 times in every post and it was getting annoying.

its not insulting, its an abreviation of 'bmw mini' which is a s short as 'mini' and dosent look like your shouting. also some people still think the all caps 'MINI' refers to proper ones rather than new ones, this way people get less confused. besides 'bini'=4 keys 'MINI'=6 keys. im lazy i guess.

I understand Mab's point, but t'interweb search engines can't distinguish between Minis & MINIs - I use Bini purely because it's the quickest & easiest way to differentiate between the two.

In answer to the OP's question, from what I remember from when my Mum ordered her R56 (Jan 07) Cooper, the Chilli pack consisted of 16" alloys, 1/2 leather interior with sports seats, manual air-con, floor mats, mood lighting, 3-spoke leather steering wheel, multifunction computer and possibly a couple of other minor bits. The content has changed a little bit as the spec of the basic car has improved over the years but the main content is still the same,
