no wiring needed as the leds take less power than the standard bulb so just plug in and away you go ,they are the 501"s but are polarized so if they dont light when installed rotate the lamp holder 180 degrees and reinstall .

Don't you want to paint the back of the outer visor ring white too, so that it reflects back to the numbers on the mask as well as onto the needle?  Or maybe silver foil the back of it with some plumbers adhesive foil so that it is more reflective than the inner ring, that way it might hopefully reflect as brightly as the inner ring does even though it has a smaller area.  Looks great.

Thanks for the help guys! It's all a learning curve and i really appreciate the help/replies. I was already thinking of trying foil as it would be much more reflective, but i had no idea there was such a think as 'Plumbers adhesive foil' so i just looked it up...Awsum!! Thanks again! :proud:

Thing is you'll have to buy a massive roll!  It is cheap though.

I live in Spain too these days so i'll probably have to order online same as everything else and hope they ship here! lol. Some of the guys that sell the 501 bulbs don't ship to Spain. Which is annoying Gurrrrrr, but yea it seems cheap enough. Is it all easy enough to do, i mean with the gauges and stuff?

Yea I found and bought a pretty big roll in the end. Like you said really, it was fairly cheap and definitely worth it!

How do I add photos to this thing? Smith guages were taken to peaces and all Aluminium foil taped up!:) I haven't plugged them back in yet, but I will in the morning. I'm a geek and excited to see my handy work.
I did cheat a little and shine the light if my iPhone through the back where the bulb goes and the sticky foil reflecting the light...works great! It makes a MASSIVE difference.
I also bought some ultra vision blue bulbs (the ones usually used described/used as 'BMW' lights). So if someone can tell me how to put photos on I would love to share.

I just want to say thanks to the guys in here for your help/tips and replies. It's really appreciated!:)

If you have a lot of pictures or they are big then host them externally from the forum at an image hosting site such as Photobucket and post links. If not you can upload a few directly into your allocated storage within the forum if you use the long reply form instead of the fast reply. Click 'More Reply Options'.

Thanks! Yea it made a MASSIVE difference. To be honest I forgot to take a picture if the 'before' sorry. The best way to describe the before photo would be almost like not havin my lights on. Pretty pointless. I could see the needle just about and the rest...well I just got used to and knowing if the needle was about 'Mmmm...there' I knew I was round about the speed limit. Now however as you can see, it's really clear and perfect actually. I'd definitely recommend housing the Plumers adhesive foil. It really was perfect for the job. It's heat proof, water proof and reflects great.

Thanks for everyone's help, advise, posts and thanks Danny for showing my pics. I've been struggling to get them on as I couldn't figure it out.

To be honest mate yours already look pretty good! Don't think there would be much more of a difference. As long as you can see the dials!;):)
