Hi, I got in my Open Top Mini yesterday and noticed on both sides of the headlining there was some discolouration and what appeared to be wet pools. When I got home I opened the roof, poked the front drain holes with some wire, strimmer line and a tie strap to try and pull out the gunk. Out came a mixture of grease and organic material. I tested the drain by using some warm water but it failed to drain away on both sides. I poked and prodded again and again but the water failed to drain away so had to mop the water up as I could see a tiny amount of it was leaking into the headlining pass the rubber lip. As far as I can see the holes dont really go anywhere as you can only poke so far before coming across an obstruction. This gutter should not hold to much water as its usually completely covered when the roof is closed but it would appear the heavy rain recently has caused this.

Has anyone taken one of these roofs off to see if the drain holes actually go anywhere, like a tube into the A posts?

Thanks

Do you mean a Webasto type roof or a convertible? And is it genuine original equipment or aftermarket?

Yeah its an Open Top ie roll back electric webasto type. Thats about typical about the holes being blanked off though. I might add a little extra clear sylicone to the area to prevent it from happening again, first time in 10 years...

Its a factory fitted Open Top, OE. The roll back has its own vinyl headlining but its the cloth headlining under the blocked gutter that got marked....
