I'm not sure, may be able to find some decent scales and weigh it, 2 people can lift it though as it is, pretty heavy but I'm only 68kg so not He-Man!!!

I'm fabricating the rear beam and tubular radius arms next so I can put it on its own wheels, will be easier to paint the roof then!

It is pure white- I went to a paint supplier and was going to get Ford Frozen white mixed up, but they said it would be a little cheaper to go with pure un-mixed white, as they receive it in bulk before they tint it, so I did, in theory you can't get whiter!

Painted the roof earlier, even happier now! (I can't get photobucket to work half the time on either of my 2 internet browsers, so using flickr as well- getting confusing...)

And both parts of the roof scoop:

I've been doing a bit on my own rear beam set up, have made the beam (4mm steel- a bit overkill but I wanted it strong and rigid, would use 3mm next time though), aligned the holes and drilled for 1/2" UNF male rod ends.

Here is what I'm doing, just a mock up on AutoCAD so I can pull off the dims, didn't see the point in doing a Solidworks model as I'm quicker on AutoCAD at the mo!
Posted Image

The main tubes, with bosses turned to fit to take bolts/studs to fit to the beam. I'm going to bend the next tubes tonight with any luck, then I'm going to build a jig so I can get 0.5° Camber built into the arms accurately.

And finally the bosses I turned to take standard stub axles, laser cut backplates should be with me soon so I can weld them all together!

Thanks, do you mean the lap belt fixings, on the floor? The rear (shoulder) straps are being wrapped round the horizontal bars in the cage cross.

Bit of progress today- made a very substantial jig for my radius arms, I have built 0.5° camber in so it ended up taking a while and had to be handed for each side too, it's square within approx 0.25mm, level to 0.1°, and will make it easier if I make any more in the future!

Here's a couple of pics, going to be 100% TIG welded too, figured it would be neater, a better quality weld and a bit lighter too!

Update- just finished welding up one of the arms, pretty happy with it too- will have to see how it holds up! Just waiting on laser cut backplate brackets but they are straightforward to weld on as they fit over a shoulder I machined into the hubs.

Not got any scales here to weight them with- but feel a LOT lighter than standard!
