yeah I know what ya mean, will definately be making sure the pockets are all the same volume before I start the rebuild dont worryonly thing I will say is that the pockets don't look very uniform, it could just be the picture, if they are not all the cylinders will be running different compression ratio's, this is not ideal for smooth performance. i could be wrong and you may have accurately measured them, and again it is just the picture!

Yep DIY is the way to do it in my opinion, teaches you alot more than giving it to a machine shop and is cheaper
what ive done is made little moulds of the pockets out of blu tac to compare their size and shape, will get some more pics up in the next few days
got some new bits today - new double valve springs and new set of head bolts and nuts

only cost £45 to be pocketed properly by martin at mra minis.

ended up (including parts labour and VAT) £235 this price however included new guides and recut inlets aswell so its not a true price of just the unleaded conversionhow much was the unleaded conversion to the head
I wish I would of sourced an unleaded 12g940 but we live and learn
