The manifold the 38's are on is an AEG573 one, and only utilises 2 bolt holes out of the 4 available on an HIF type carb.

been on it this weekend, pretty much all done

cut arches and wing as the neg camber made it rub a bit, fitted centre console

need to look at the exhaust as its leaking from where the Y piece joins the downpipe, need to clamp it better

took it for a few quick spins down the road aswell, and by crickey u dont half feel it come 'on cam' at about 2000 revs, pulls like a train!It still bogs down a touch under 2000 revs but still need to tinker with the fueling, it has an AAA needle in it, going to order an AAU as suggested by AC Dodd as I think the AAA is a bit on the lean side for the spec

AAU sounds about right.

Ive sent you a PM with my news about my small bore motor rather than clutter up your thread with my rubbish haha
Also if your interested i might sell my filter and go for an MED one myself...

nope, ive been on hols for 2 weeks, i have missed the mini though, been itching to get back and work on it

tomorrow Im fitting a hif44 with ITG filter and ram pipe on a good minispares inlet

guna sell the twins im afraid mate, Ive been recomended to use a hif44 by a respected mini guru :wacko:
will post a pic of the new carb up later the itg ram air kit looks fabulous on it ;D

looking at the weather today prob not guna get a chance to work on it, its belting down here :teehee: wish I had a garage

Yeah its hammering it down here too. But ive got a double garage with loads of workspace around each car in there, oxy cettalene in there and my snap on welder ;)
Rear subframe WILL be out :)

double garage, you lucky bugger, looks like some nuts neg camber on your rear end :)

pi$$ing down again today, not looking good

in between the rain yesterday I got the HS4 off and the hif44 on but didnt get it going as the heavens opened ;)

Cool :) Yeah weve got garage space to the max to be honest what with home, lockups and the workshop.
Its getting there :)

Careful rejetting the HIF and make sure you modify as per Vizard :)
