Then at 500 put some good stuff in :P

aye, guna buy the oil from asda thats like a pound a litre then use the halfords stuff after 500 miles

justed finished painting my engine with hammerite, let it dry and drop the bad boy in tommorow night

well after a bit of fettling... IT RUNS

couldnt get it going at first, after a bit of headscratching, i realised i had the wiring on the coil wrong, and the HT leads on the wrong sparkers

got loads of bits to finish off, exhaust to refit etc etc

its very loud (prob because exhaust isnt all on yet) and on idle it is pretty lumpy, it is a 276 though so i was expecting this abit

one step closer to the rollers :proud:

Good. Post up a video once its all together (exhaust and all) and ill have a listen

It will be abit lumpy with your cam and head but it should iron out a little when the exhaust goes on suprisingly they usually do...

well here is the video, exhaust all back on and its still very loud, cant believe the sound is only being made by a 998!

i discovered why it was running a bit rough, turns out 2 spark plugs had packed up so was only workin on 2 cylinders

clutch works, gears work

need few more hours fettling and its all done back on the road

guna put a breather on the tappet chest cover rather than recycle it

Twin hif 38's may well be too large for a 998 and your estimated BHP.
