How much has this engine build come to so far?
to be honest i try not to think about it
i think though all in all, £800-900, but there are plenty of places i know i can save next time I do a rebuild, I reckon i could get it down to £500 by saving on machining costs and sourcing second hand rather than buying mostly new

Well it allounds interesting im looking to do my first engine build soon i have a 998 i can do but might buy a 1275
rebuilding a 1275 will give you better bhp/£ but i think 998 rebuild is more fun and challenging
last night, torqued down crank pulley bolt, flywheel bolt, clutch on, clutch cover on, trigger wheel on, oil filter on, oil pressure switch on, engine mounts on
engine will be finished tonight, just alternator and radiator to fit, will be putting back into the mini hopefully thursday night after I have hammerited the engine bay, fitted my neg camber arms and made preperations for the megajolt loom
bought also recently a mini centre console, my mini is like a jigsaw at the moment

If it were mine, i'd tighten the rocker cover bolts
very funny!, of course i need to keep my rocker cover off as when its had its 1st run i will need to retorque the head and check valve clearances

Legend!
I wont be a legend if she wont start, im nervous never rebuilt an engine before
guna change the oil like every 100 miles until 500 miles run in, bit excessive but will put my mind at rest

Yeah do that but only with cheap oil. Save yourself some money there cause if its only guna be in for 100miles itll be fine
Then at 500 put some good stuff in
