Stu why get convex and not flat?? Daft question i know

Because the glass bows outwards Convex mirrors give you a better viewing of a wider area than a flat glass.

I like these as well as freddys, where did you get these? will they bolt straight on to my 93' sprite?

One of the holes will bolt to an existing hole the other you will have to drill as it will be shorter than the original second hole. Hope that makes sense I havn't explained it very well. You will then need to grommet up the spare hole that you have left. I didnt have any holes to start with so was easy for me just to drill two holes.

If you decide to go for them make sure you pay the extra and get the convex mirror I wouldnt want any less visibility tah they already have!

Thanks Stu, i like em but dont really want to drill any extra holes just want ones what bolt on or need adapter plates.

I get that, on my stock mirrors and rear view mirror, i find in rear view mirror things are closer than in wing mirrors?

Yeah quote from the demon tweaks website

''Not sure which glass to choose ?

Each type has different benefits, so ultimately there is no 'correct' choice - it comes down to personal preference and what works best on the car.

Flat glass will give you the truest reflection of what's behind and is what most road cars are fitted with as standard.

Convex glass gives a wider field of vision, but with this can make the perceived distance different to the actual distance away.''

I love my mirrors, however they are bolted to the door and you have to sit up tall to see the whole thing otherwise half of my vision is cut off!

Definitely will be buying a pair of these again, they're beauties!

Thats a good point, perhaps next time we meet up at a services someone should of load some of the sh!te into the other cars seeing as everyone uses the stuff! Or I should just bring the tent, and forget the gazebo!

Right, need to say something about mirrors now or this is just a spam post.... errrr..... shiny? Reflective! there we go. thats marginly related to the subject :)

on a serious note, I am in the same boat. once the pick up gets its new front I am considering new mirrors. I dont really want to cut holes in the brand new wings for the mirrors and the ones that are on it are getting a bit tired. I thought about spraying them black (not the mirror bit obviously, that would be stupid) but If i do go for the black bumpers as well it might be a bit to much black? I dont think the style stu has will suit the pick up........ hmmm decisions! Luckily I think the last paragraph saved my post from being spam! :)

That's a dilema i'm faced with, my 1275gt will be yellow with black interior and black arches so chrome wing mirrors will look a bit daft so i could do with something black unless i'm just being daft???

It'd be nice if you could get a photo of your mini with those mirrors on to see what they look like :)

All in all this could be an interesting thread for others aswell :)

Don't worry Elmo no spam in that post it was all relevant :withstupid:
