haahahah i would love to have the external fire extinguisher and battery cut off however i think people would pull these as they think this is funny. however i could have these and then make some sort of lock on them so when I'm not on track i could lock them off so they cant be used ? any opinions welcome

also i have given up with doing the car today as the subframes have wound me up too much found 3 big holes in the top of the freshly powder-coated rear subframe which made me angry, welded these up but i don't have any satin black around so couldn't finish these off.

The tyres on the picture ive posted are they road legal ?

there will be a good update tomorrow i promise it is just one of those days when things don't want to go your way,

plan for tomorrow is:

  • drill out sheared bolts
  • tap and die new threads
  • put rear camber brackets on which are zinc plated !
  • put radius arms on
  • put trunion subby mounts on with the race spec uprated rubbers which are purple !!
  • connect up the braided brake lines

need to buy shocks and rear hi los there are a set i have my eye on for £80 cheaper than the normal set which havnt been unboxed which includes kyb shocks and rear hi los, so i am tempted to get these, just need the boss to pay me then i can go and collect these then, once i have the shocks and trumpets i can bolt on the rear subframe and then continue the rebuilding of the front frame. the deadline for a rolling shell is the 5th of jan so not too long at all fingers crossed i get it done in time.

sounds just like me. I get close to paint prep and decide that i need metal arches or more roll cage or something else which is mk1 mind you i don't think there is much more mk1 converting to have other than door apertures and rear window haha

my final deadline is august as i turn 17 on the 31st of august

Hats off to you minimk1 for taking on this project at a young age! Awesome work! Should look badass when done if you go for the racer look!

I believe they are. Not sure on the make though.

If minimk1 doesn't want these, I'll take them ;)

In the words off elliskwleisk's signature-

"The bitterness of poor quality will linger long after the sweetness of a bargain is forgotten"

I'd save up for the gaz shocks.

i could get a set of kyb shocks for £90 but my car is going to be low so i thought that the gaz lowered would be worth waiting for ?
