It is now a mini spares upgraded rad - you can see differences in size/ volume/ cooling efficiency.
With correct mounting thread for sender ( not running adapter now - which actually backed up with silt / detritus which impeded the efficiency of temp monitor)
The cowling however, was too tight now and needed …… tweaking ….. to get enough room to get bottom hose on .
This is how it sat on old rad
All in now , with sender kicking in fan at 88-90 and an override switch , just in case .

But managed a few bits on estate
White paint on badge chipped , so stripped it off and repainted black this time
Another wheel got a leak , so off it comes ready for strip and rebuild
Wheel off , gave underneath a wipe down …. Still ok after 4 years ( albeit no snow / winter driving)

Had wheels for 10 years now …. Rebuilding started after about 4-5 years . I think I have perfected how to seal properly and once I have done this one, just the rears to do when they start losing air .

I did this with friend once on his escort wheels. The seal was great but we didn't do a very good job of spreading the silicone and it really upset the balance. I'm sure you've already thought of this.
