Spoiler restricting flow to sump , 998 is pushed hard on motorways/ a roads keeping up with the 1275’s in the ‘club’
Anticipating higher temps water/ oil when NOS eventually completed.
Not running a thermostat as mini only comes out spring to autumn dry days.
Placed in situ to see what brackets I need to make ( should be fairly straightforward ) and will probably rubber mount to bodywork. Pipe work also looks like it’s not going to be too obtrusive.
Will probably take off cold air feed pipe and fit a stainless grille.... or not ? As pipe still fits behind cooler and only covers a small fraction ( would have warmer air blowing into cabin 🤔)

Glued onto lip to ‘soft’ mount
Bracket
Feed pipes
Mounted ( pic doesn’t show 2 bottom mounts - altogether 3 points, so it’s not going anywhere)
Air Feed pipe sits tight on so if I reinstate I will trim it back
Pipe work wangling on next instalment

Nice work, the spoiler and reverse script will look very good,Steve..
Thank you
Mostly in, have decided to keep air intake pipe and trim it down ( covers wiring I
On inside of wing) - angled oil pipes so will curve around air intake.
Looks neat - not too much piping

Just need to fill with oil ..... I suppose I should have a crack at leaking drive shaft oil seals at this point ( prior to oil going in) .... but can I be bothered? - have got service and big suspension job to do on 40
Tape on steering wheel ( had to be green )

Did this for three reasons ;
1. When I’m upside in a ditch I can switch electric off.
2. When working on car I can disconnect battery in seconds .
3. It gives another level of security when parked up - unless of course a thief has seen the pics on here and carries a spare key around with them... on the off chance

Repainted and a rubber seal .... very exciting I know ! . Battery connectors bought from flee bay too small ( not my error) so having to wait for full install . When I do this I can get around to shortening battery lead as seen in pics... that job only been on my list for a couple of years.

I do like that only two minor comments
1. Put some boot caps on to prevent any shorting across those terminals like is on the starter solenoid. A loose scre driver in the back coudl do some awful damage floating about
2. Do you have an alarm, and if so do you have an alternative wiring / power supply for that

Thanks, was going to put tape on.... in next few years
I have a Rottweiler ... he doesn’t need a power supply ( but does need a regular supply of postmen)
