It friggin works .... and no leaks .......
HOWEVER....
another attempt at getting cone out.... got the compressor to grip (more thread in)....started to compress
compress
compress
nearly enough....compress
just about there....
BANG!!!!
the cone was so old the thread/ nut in the rubber pulled clean out
I now have half a compressor tool bar sticking out of engine bay (unable to unthread it as there is nothing to hold it at bottom)
hehehe oh well, looks like I will have to bring in the big guns ..... Angle grinder "V" 40 year old cones and doughnuts
FINISH HIM

ok picces below shows the cone with the thread pulled clean out!!!!, no contest for an angle grinder...I WIN
New bottom arms and bushes on
New Hi Lo's fitted on front
new gear knob....much better, now i dont have to change gear with my fingertips
Rear lap belts in....will eventually put in some 3 pointers as I can re-use the 2 mounting points
A few things have cropped up that I need...so looks like I will upgrade brakes sooner rather than later...keep watching

Where have you got those rear lapbelts bolted to on your Mini? My Clubman estate doesn't have rear belts, and i'm curious as to where and how they're mounted.
from ebay(brand new)...just type in lapbelts
mounted on rear crossmember and rear arches with spreader plates ... these were just quickly put in for reference of location and not being used yet and before they are I am having some additional plates welded onto mounting points.

1 - went in for MOT...... a couple of advisories but YAY, another 12 months motoring
2 - fixed leak on rocker cover gasket
3 - changed over from old paper filter to newer housing and screw on oil filter (thanks to green and white for supplying parts) ...oil leak was one of advisories....oh yes and oil and filter change
4- replaced bulb on number plate light and dodgy wiring on front indicators
5 - Still havent found cause on knocking on front going into a bump ...GRRR
6 - Servo all plumbed in .....oooooooh feels like a 'new' car.....that stops
7 - got around to buying and fitting the longer srew/ bolts that 'hold' the drum onto the hub...yes I know the wheel holds them on.....but It was bugging me.
8 - had suspension geometry set up by Green and Whites......sweet handling now......will be even better with new wheels
AND a set of wheels..........but which ones?
answers on a postcard....pictures this week (a midget gem to the winner)
