Might be a bit late but slarks is the only RR i use now, not saying what others use is bad but they have been the best for me

Thanks. Yes I have considered a rolling road. The engine had been previously setup by Aldon. But as a few things have changed since, like exhaust & ignition system I had considered getting it redone. Slark have certainly been top of my list based on recommendations. I got an estimate from them for a full monty setup including suspension & mot. Will see how it pans out. Thanks.

Reasonably successful weekend. I got the dials all connected up. All seems to work. Just some minor fettling left. The only gauge that I didn't check was the fuel gauge because I didn't have much fuel in there. I fitted the rear screen with my trusty helper. Not the easiest but it's in now. Will hopefully fit the locking strip this week. I had a front screen lined up but found it was cracked. Not sure if this was supplied like this or it has happened while in storage. I will thoroughly inspect the next one before leaving the supplier. Hopefully get that sorted next weekend.

you are close to the final lap, well done, glad you are going for the RR, might be costly but worth it in the end I believe ;D

Yes, definitely seeing the light at the end of the tunnel now. The list of things to do is getting shorter & simpler. The rolling road is a definite 'want to do'. But it's just when. The engine has been set up before & all I've changed is the ignition system. So I probably could get away with waiting. On the other hand it would be good to get it checked & know everything is running sweet from the start. I had a quote for RR, suspension setup & MOT all in one hit. That makes things look a bit pricey.

just remember that the dwell angles will change with the different ignition systems..

A few good jobs this weekend. New windscreen purchased from Minispares. Very carefully transported home. Also got a few other little bits & pieces for the mini & a Daimler. Handy having a few different marques under one roof at Oldbury. I fitted the windscreen pretty much straight away. That went in alot easier than the rear. Locking strips fitted both front & rear. I used to use a home made tool which worked ok, But for this project I splashed out on a proper locking strip fitting tool with the roller from Minimine. To lather up the windscreen rubber & strip I used Dove soap. An online thread I found suggested Camay, but that seems quite hard to find now. Long time since I bought soap! The windscreens look good. Locking strip helped the even out the rubber seal nicely. I finished of the weekend with a late night polishing & fitting the boot lid. It still needs the seal & fittings attaching. But so far so good. Lined up pretty well first time. Will get those sorted out this week. I was looking at making a boot board/liner. But the spare wheel (7x13) doesn't fit in the usual wheel well. So I'm looking for ideas on how to best fit it.

Last picture is quite significant as the mini spent along time with an inverted boot. It now has a nice round butt!

I'll try & sort out some of the video. Needs a bit of editing. It's also hard to hear the carb over my girly scream of excitement..!
