A few good jobs this weekend. New windscreen purchased from Minispares. Very carefully transported home. Also got a few other little bits & pieces for the mini & a Daimler. Handy having a few different marques under one roof at Oldbury. I fitted the windscreen pretty much straight away. That went in alot easier than the rear. Locking strips fitted both front & rear. I used to use a home made tool which worked ok, But for this project I splashed out on a proper locking strip fitting tool with the roller from Minimine. To lather up the windscreen rubber & strip I used Dove soap. An online thread I found suggested Camay, but that seems quite hard to find now. Long time since I bought soap! The windscreens look good. Locking strip helped the even out the rubber seal nicely. I finished of the weekend with a late night polishing & fitting the boot lid. It still needs the seal & fittings attaching. But so far so good. Lined up pretty well first time. Will get those sorted out this week. I was looking at making a boot board/liner. But the spare wheel (7x13) doesn't fit in the usual wheel well. So I'm looking for ideas on how to best fit it.
Last picture is quite significant as the mini spent along time with an inverted boot. It now has a nice round butt!
