A bit more done today. New o/s rear wheel arch in.
Still need to do the full plug welding underneath later when the shell gets rolled over.
Hi, fascinating project! Worse than mine even.
I'm in a similar position with my boot floor and wheel arches, how did you ensure that the arches are lined up correctly without the rear quarters for reference? Or is it a case of using 'original construction techniques'?
Cheers -

Hello Mike, I've lined up the arch using the boot floor & squab board mainly. The squab board is pretty much where it was with the old arch as I was able to drill out the spot welds. The new boot floor is fairly close to the profile of the arch so took only a small amount of jiggling & cursing. I clamped the arch first & then offered up the quarter panel & the closing panel infront of the arch. I have left the passenger arch in for reference so I also ran a spirit level across the tops of the arches to check height. Hopefully that should be somewhere handy. I'm happy with the result so far. The rear panel should be going on this weekend after a couple of other small bits. Good luck with yours Mike.A bit more done today. New o/s rear wheel arch in.

Thanks, I have employed the 'ignore everything else' method to find time to get it done. Hopefully I'll be able to keep up the progress.I wish mine moved along as quickly as this

Hoping to have the basic shell complete by Christmas. Then use Christmas break to get some final fettling or catching up.

Thanks for the comment. I couldn't see any other options for the parcel shelf available. I didn't mind the later one it's alot straighter that the original & has the speaker holes if I want to use them. I can always blank them off if I don't want to use them.hats off to you feller, cracking on well,
may i ask why you've chosen the later parcel shelf to a mk3 one
