Thanks, the belly has had a couple of costs of stone chip & a some waxoyl in the crevices & a dusting generally underneath so hopefully that should be enough. I was more concerned with the enclosed bits like sills. So I've filled them with cavity wax. Ofcourse if I only take it out in the summer it'll never get wet..!
supperb looking finish under belly, shame you need to waxoil it at some point,.......
sounds good cavety wax,...it is not so much the rain...it is the damp and foggy nights sometimes in the summer,....then again you probably have him in the garage overnight, I use dinitrol spray every year for all the caveties, 1 rattle can does the lot....

Hello to Finland. Good luck finding your mini project. Rust often comes as standard on many mini's. It's just a case of deciding how much you can deal with. Mine made it easier to decide on which panels to replace.wow, i have to take my hat of for u sir... stunning! i´m finding my own projekt mini but all have looked too rusty, but somehow when im memoring those (sitting in sofa) they was better than your mini :) sorry for my english, im finnish.

Your words cut deep!!you tube might be an option. as long as it starts first time. i'm wary of starting it too soon. it only takes one loose live wire to short 7 set fire to the whole thing. but by default it is getting closer all the time. i had a relative that was always keen to get things started very quickly. commendable that the car doesn't become a very expensive garage ornament. but looking at bent valves because of a retaining bolt in a pulley is a lesson i've learnt from.
