To go from litreralry rust with wheels to that, in under two years, is just fantastic!!
Keep up the good work

Having fun for sure, as every shiny bit makes it looka bit more like a car.
Can't beat a good cardboard tube for gear changing. Soaks up vibration, plenty cunky grip, easily replaced from the post office. Just don't spill your coffee on it as it goes limp..!
looking good, shiny things...... like your retro gear lever
lol, just made me spil my coffee,....I can see you ae havin fun putting him toghether,..may the force be with you....

Very good, it was alot lighter originally, but I think it's structural intergrity is somewhat improved now.Shiny bits time...... car's looking great.
"It was great to see it out in the fresh air on four wheels." I love this thread since your Mini started out as fresh air on four wheels.

I've made up a seperate section for the instruments. This can be unscrewed from the main dash for maintenance. I've made too many dashboards that are one complete piece that requires alot of work to get behind. Thought I'd have loads of room to layout gauges but a bit limited by the space needed for the weber box & air vent. Glad I haven't actually bought the rev counter now. Can purchase one to suit.

Thanks, much appreciated. Dug was the operative word. Needed a landrover & a big chain to pull it out,,!Absolutely amazing! Hard to believe this is the same car you dug out of the garden... Fine example of a labour of love. Keep at it she'll soon be done

13x7 Superlites, MK3's don't look that different from later mini's so wasn't too worried about retro look too much. Also I couldn't get 13" wheels years ago when I used to run mini's. So fancied a set for this one. But don't worry, my next project has the discs & minilife wheels/tyres lined up already.....http://www.theminifo...ge__hl__plumboblovely project, what wheels are you putting on it?......i thought that you might have kept the car archless being a mk3....with "s" discs and some nice 4.5x10 minilife wheels, that would have looked ace.....
