Love the triple cable rear handbrake setup :D

Chris

I thought someone might spot that.....two cables just wasn't enough for me ...I want three..! Seriously the floor came with the later single handbrake cable slot. I want the double for mk3 earlier cables, so cut two more. I'll keep the middle one incase I ever want to modernise.

Not been on the forum in a while and saw the topic title. I thought "wasn't that the guy who pulled that heap of rust out of the foliage". Looked at the last few pics and then said "whoops, must be a different topic". Can't believe that's the same car mate, you deserve a medal.

Thanks, I'd forgotten the hedge pics myself til recently.

Weekend update. Got the shell off the spit jig back on some stands. That meant I could clean up & paint the bulkhead & boot. Masked off the roof & areas already painted. First couple of layers of top coat on all round the sides. Some flatting & more paint hopefully during the week.

this is the level of restoration that im trying to master, the attention to detail is the most important thing, and this project has bags of it, i suppose it helps using complete new panels throughout, if it were patched and bits let in here and there, it would weigh a ton with all the weld and filler in it! lol the satisfaction though must be overwhelming knowing you did all the work yourself! keep it up! :D

WOW....just.....WOW. Fair play mate, great work and dedication. Like many others, I noticed the first few pics and was expecting to skip to this page to find a new BMH shell, so was shocked when I started reading!
