Can I ask what car your k series engine was out of ? Also how troublesome was the build or was it fairly straightforward ?
Great work looks good

Mate, did you even read the thread?!

Yes but I think I missed a few pages and just wanted to know the exact car, and I just wanted his whole view on the build as I'm looking to do one thanks

what did you do about the loom ? as in how did you splice the mini and rover loom together and it all still work ?

At the moment i have the majourity of the metro loom and fuse box tucked behind my dash, but eventually i will cut out the non essential bits and have a separate harness that just needs 12v and a earth to run the engine. the mini loom is standard just to run the lights and indicators etc.

Found out why it handled funny, front offside wheel had -2 degrees of castor.

Ive set it at +6 degrees castor with -2 degrees camber and 2mm of toe out. seems to go ok.

Hey, its been a bit dead in this thread. Mini has been tucked up since castle combe 2012, im restoring a land rover this year so mini has had no attention tall.

Next year it will get all the finishing bits done that i should of done in the first place.

just watched back some of my combe videos, I forgot what a beast it was, ill prop trailer it back to combe again this year!

That was well held!!

Just had a look through the build, very cool car!

Would love to see the Land Rover at some point, best of luck with the restoration :)

A nice mini build there. And a nice quick car. I'm right in thinking that was with the 116 hp engine in it and not the 1.8 that you put in later? How much quicker is it with the 1.8?

I would love a K-series track mini. Nice work.

In that first video of the sprint day in the random K series mini, the rear view mirror is a right pain blocking the view.
