Before i go taking the number plate off though, has anybody got any pictures of their minis with the number plate on the bonnet?
Pics of both a square and rectangular number plate would be brilliant.
Cheers

i thought about putting one on my min, but i found something out...
...at my work the car parks are patrolled by parking wardens (from the council i think) and our passes dont come into effect until 5.30pm, when sometimes we start at 8am (a joke i no).
anyway, to be given a ticket they need a picture of the front of the car, basically the windscreen displaying wrong or no pass and the front reg plate.
ive found that by parking in a bay front first they cant get the reg plate and windscreen in the pic as its too low!
how about that?? (complete randomness).

thats not correct actualy, it does have to be on a flat surface. There are no stick on number plates which reflect the light correctly eitherAs long as its facing forward its legal. so it can be on thefront of the bonnet, in the window on the grill, ect ect.

snippets are:
Must be mounted vertical
Must be to BS AU 145a (basically, this means reflective.. but MARKED with that standard

Must be fitted to the front of the vehicle. i.e. not half way along it in the windscreen
Must not be obscured for photos. i.e. not mounted behind anything.. including glass (this can reflect photo flash as to count as "obscuration")
There are slight difference to plates FITTED before 2001, but how you prove that....?

You don't - it's up to the court to prove your guilt. They could do this quite easily of course if they referred to topics like this or on-line photo's
