Sounds like a bad connection to me. Is the engine earth cable ok ?

Brand spanking new, although it was from Halfords.

Got it fitted in the standard location on the block for the stabiliser bar and the other end (because it’s a bit on the long side) to one of the new studs for the pedal box/clutch master cylinder.

Same, new cable and clamps and have sanded the paint off from round the bolt through the floor back to very clean shinny metal.

I’ve gone back and cleaned all the battery/earth points with 80grit alloy oxide paper, along with the same to the starter motor/cables and still the same result.

It deffinantly sounds like a battery problem, try a jump pack or a set of jump leads on the battery and try cranking the engine over with the plugs out first of all to get the oil pressure up and then try and start it.

The plugs are out, but can't build any oil pressure as the starter motor WON'T even try to turn the engine over, let alone starting it.
