I had some Angle Eyes (not e-marked) and they were RUBBISH!

Apparently because they are not e-mark, that is because of the beam pattern inside the headlight. It isn't to the Uk road standard, so they don't aline right? I had some that were alined by the local garage and still they were up in the strees on the country lanes!
Although the ring looks good lit up as the sidelight, other than that I thought they were a waste of time and you are better off with some decent headlights :P

Scratch a little E into the glass hehe. Like the one on the rear lights!! It's like E1 isn't it or something?? I know i've seen an E mark on my rear lights (original ones). As the angle eyes are not e-marked, I don't think anyone would notice. Like people have said, it's best if you don't put the red, blue, green covers onto the sidelight bulbs so you get a colour ring, as that just says to the police "come and look at my car!!"

Legal? Illegal ? they look ******* the pants, and therefore the TMF Heirarchy should make them illegal.

By the way 'E' marking. Most products that Carry an E or a CE mark are actually self certified by the manufacturer, to say they meet a particular European Standard.

Going slightly off topic the Chinese have introduced a CE mark that is almost indentical to the European one

Just because you've never been stopped, doesn't make them legal. If you kill a young child on a quiet country lane at night because you didn't see them, then you'd wish you had some legal lights...

Just get some E marked Wipac Freeforms (lights you can actually see with) and be done with it. If you want some angel eyes, put them on a show car!

Rant over

Must admit, I tend to agree with Tom there... out of the multitude of light units I've had, the freeforms are by far the best, especially when coupled with a decent make bulb ( again not this Chinese sh*t )

fitted some to mine. got them from northwest minis. they said not illegal to use on my mini.

FYI - SAE M 01 D6019 DOT - marked on lense

my mate is an mot tester and said he wouldnt fail them.

1, side light is complete ring showing white light.
2, dipped beam functions correctly, ( need to have correct beam pattern) - H4 bulbs
3, high beam functions correctly, flashes of on all the time.
