Ive just been given a amp/sub package. Ive got the sub and the amp wired into the car fine and its working properly but I want to wire in some 6x9's from the amp but it dosnt have the standard screw wire things. So ive used the ouput phono cable with a splitter that changes the red/white phono into 2 left copper wires and 2 right copper wires and a earth wire I connected the two left to some speaker wire and attached it to one of my 6x9's but no sound is coming out........

Any ideas what ive done wrong as I know the speakers work??
or would it be easier to wire the 6x9's straight out of the Head unit??

They will sounds better off your amp but headunit sounds the best bet,

if you run your 6x9s you may also lose power to your sub and not give it enough wattage therefore slowly kill your sub woofer :D

if the rms is around 50 or below wack them on your headunit

if there a max of 450watts i would wack a minimum of 150wattsrms into them that means you would have to use an amp!!

they will run off the HU "ok" but not great...

but by the sounds of things you've split a set of RCA's and have some how connected the 6x9 strate to the spit connection... with no sort of amplification....

...what is between the RCA's and the 6x9s?
