i use ky jelly, honest...waits for the jokes...


does the job well, supermarkets make cheaper versions, try asda

you can buy proper rubber lubricant from autofactors

+1 on personal lube
+1 on no Vaseline
+1 on sealant between the glass and the rubber so water doesn't wick in at the corners. (I use Dow or Permatex "flowable silicone"... it's made for the job and won't ruin paint like bitumen products).

and the best thing is they r designed to not perish rubber or latex so won't cause the window rubber to perish.
