Genuine/heritage Panels?

I have just purchased a 93 Mayfair to restore and use to go to shows that are a bit far for me to go to in my 62.
I need to replace a front wing and A-panel and was wondering if anyone has used heritage wings etc and whether they are as good as the original Rover panels? (I have heard horror storys about there mk1 doors) I have used pattern wings before and have always found them a pain in the neck to get them to line up and impossible to get decent bonnet and door gaps. I used Rover wings once and they were spot on.
Also, where is the cheapest place to get heritage panels? The price of them is a bit steep now, I use to get genuine Rover wings for £15ea lol.

As for Heritage vs Rover, my understanding is that they are essentially the same thing as BMH produces them from the same tooling as the original Rover items, they are therefore considered to be "genuine" parts.

That was my understanding too but I know someone who purchased some mk1 doors and found when bolted on the top part of the window frame was 3-4" from the body with the door closed, he had to cut the frame pull it in and re weld and grind it flat

I will get heritage panels and hope they are better than pattern ones

I have just looked on Moss's site and there BMH wings are £84.95 and £31.95 for the A-panel, thats about £12 more for the wing and about £7 extra for the A-panel than what Minispares charge

Blimey!!!.... Well I have to say that it's been a while since I was last shopping for panels, but they certainly were more a bit more competitive than that last time I checked!!

If you want to save a little more you could use a Heritage wing & a pattern "a" panel, Somerfords charge £72.50 for a wing & £25.00 for an "a" panel, a pattern "a" panel is about £8.99. Doesn't seam to make much difference if you use heritage or Pattern "a" panels, the fit & finish are pretty much the same. Thanks I may do that. Have you or any over forum user used/fitted Magnum Body Panels? Here is the website with link to their full catalogue http://www.magnumcla...o.uk/about.html They sound good but are they in real life when it comes to trying to get them to fit nicely?
Having now collected the car I am undecided whether to just remove the scuttle end repair that the old owner has fitted (it does not line up very well with the old panel) and fit a new scuttle end along with the wing and a-panel (which are already removed) or whether to remove the other wing and replace the whole scuttle panel as the windscreen lip is a little corroded in places. This will obviously increase the cost of panels a lot as I will probably end up needing a whole front end as opposed to just a wing and a-panel on one side.
