Too Much Slack?

been have issue's with my engine for agood few months now, decided to whip off the timing cover this afternoon to see if there was any issues in that area. discovered the was quite abit of slack which could explain the problems ive been having.

It's unlikely that the slack shown in the timing chain would cause discernable issues with engine performance.

What exactly are problems you have been having?

When timing a cam in, you have to allow for chain stretch!, I'd just replace the chain for the sake of £5 or how ever much they are now
actually just had a second look and it doesn't look that bad, if it was me, I would probably put a new one on and re-time the cam in to rule out it out
