Ah I feel all left out now I've only got the one, maybe I should start adopting the other cars in the work shop.
Danny keep going I'm sure you'll find a bit that isn't rusted soon, I've only just chased the last of it out of my clubby.

ok many thanks thought they where spot welded in will try anf get a spot welder drill bit remover if that made ay sense lol and all i seem to do is find rust and more rustIt can get you down when you keep finding more and more of your car that you have to replace because of rust but it's a good feeling getting fresh steel in there! On the window channel, I'm pretty sure it's a case of finding & drilling out spot welds but the last time it was done was about 14 years ago and not directly by me - I was paying to get it done then, before I became a homeowner and had a fair bit of disposable income, where this time I'm having to learn and do it myself! Some of the repairs you need to do I have already done on my project - link in sig - and some similar still to do!

Pretty much, and just cover up the hole to make it ‘look nice’. The ex’s minis front floor pans were made up of about 5 layers with oversills as well.
At the end of the day if it’s rotten, it rotten, not a lot you can do about it than chop it out (might take a while longer) and replace/do the job properly.

your a legend that is the panel i am after thanks you sooooo muchI think this is the panel you mean. It's a pretty simple panel to make repair sections from sheet steel as it's fairly flat - I'd probably only replace it as a whole panel if the majority of it is rotten. Also check the M-Machine catalogue as it's likely to be a bit cheaper to buy their version rather than the genuine one linked to,
