It might not have been there from the factory, it's one of those things deleted in the 70's The early mk4 shell I picked up friday does not have one.

Im sure it was there as there spot weld drill marking on the inner wing will check next week
And also have just stripped one if the hubs and drive shaft down new cv boot on just need old bearing removing so i can clean them up and paint

Just a little update put a new cv boot on one of them started to do the second one and the circlip that hold the end joint on and well the circlip was only half there so i took all the bearings out and it wasn't in there either so.i need a new one but can't find on mini spares website will be getting old bearings out.of.hub tomorrow and get them cleaned and painted then new bearings in

order a few bits today rear wheel cylinders, cv clip,arch closing plates,tie rod arms,steering arm lock tabs,and caliper bleed nippples now all that i need to get is rubber cones,wheels tires and shocks and rest of interior

Did a little bit more today had to do a lil repair to the qauter needs a little more tidying up

Thanks :) ya wierd how paint can transform the look Thursday and Friday ill bereplacing both rear arches and rear valance if i have time
