I think it would look ace with the bottom half black and top half the orange it is now.

not sure yet on keeping the colur yet havet decided and will pass a mot had a mate who a mot inspector have a look and pm me where you think it is ??I know where that is too!!

looks like the mini had a few resprays since 79
this door behind paint is a goner

Your best bet would be to take off the paint with a coarse flap wheel on a grinder so you know exactly how far it's rusted and then cut the rest out with a 1MM cutting disc. There's no repair sections for any door frame stuff on an estate but that looks like it'll be a mostly flat repair anyway. Also if I where doing it I wouldn't cut away the vertical section of the gutter as it'll be a pain to fabricate.

i would get you to help but its not being put back on road till its perfect and completely rust freethats easy to repair dan the man, if you leave that part i will do that bit with you when i come down all you do it cut the section out in one go and make cardboard patch which fits perfect(cereal box is best) and then scribe onto steel cut weld dress paint.
