nothing new here...

placed an order before christmas for 700 quid...
it's still not shipped, waiting for parts wich aren't in stock...

luckely we don't need the item's right now, but i had to asked for the status of my order...
they don't let us know what's up. and al the parts i've ordere are on the site in stock... :)

Have you been charged for them?

Yes, payed bij creditcard/Sagepay. Emailed a week later to check the status of my order. There i've heard some of the parts weren't in stock.

But it's alright now, parts came in yesterday; ordered 27 December...
It's not a problem that is takes 3 weeks (if i need parts immediatly, i order them at my local miniparts-store), it's more a problem that i don't hear anything untill I send an email myself...

same issue as above still waiting on parts that were "in stock" on their website and heard nothing from them until i chased, also be warned they have a new system now where they charge your card when the order is placed, regardless of having something in stock or not.

If you don't want to wait, tell them to refund you the difference or you'll get your bank to charge back the whole amount to your card. You can actually do that if necessary.

I've ordered loads of things from Minisport, with varying delivery times.

I have to say most the time it's two days from ordering, as it should be and what I'd paid for, but sometimes it's been awhile, if they just put in an email management system, that when they have processed the order, it emails you and when it's dispatched, it emails you with expected arrival date, and if you've paid for special delivery, the tracking number, it's not a hard thing to implement.

I wish they had an email management system. I placed an order on monday, 48hr shipping, weds and most of thurs have passed and nothing has shown up. If they emailed when the order was dispatched, I'd at least have some idea when to expect it!

My previous two orders from them arrived a couple of days after I ordered. Everything was marked as in- or low-stock when i ordered, so in that sense there shouldnt be a problem getting this order out!

Just called them and my parcel (ordered 7 days ago) hasn't been shipped because one item is out of stock. Would have been nice to be informed of this rather than waiting around all week! That said, they have sent the rest to be shipped and will send the other item when it comes back in at their own cost.

Hopefully then wednesday my box arrives!

We USED to use minisport for our business as well as personal mini's , but after so many in stock items turning out to be out of stock and orders not being dispatched and customers let down we've had to ditch using them as suppliers for now .

Ive ordered personal items and the whole order has been delayed because of a light switch their website says is in stock but it actually out of stock ... but i have to ring THEM to find it out , now if someone their end followed up orders that are on hold due to items being out of stock and rang me to let me know it would resolve items alot quicker and help to retain customers , if they had told me after the first 2 days there was no switch i would of still had the oder minus the switch but after that i just canceled the whole order and went elsewhere .

We now use minispares and also try to support the smaller business now with our orders as their prices are more competitive and also appreciate our custom more so than minisport .

Also on a side note we have found minispares phonesale to be A+ , if you order an item any relating bits you may of forgottern they will say a reminder to let you know and 9/10 they are right !

I hate the fact that as a restorer i order the parts a week before i need them.
One customer only wanted his parts fitted from minisport.
Because of them the restoration was put back 6 weeks.
I personally use mini spares or huddersfield mini spares as if i need the parts fast they send them fast.
:)

Personally I avoid mini sport at all costs, I'm not sure what their prices are like now but they used to be over priced and their customer service is rubbish.
Last time I used them was about 5 years ago when I ordered a few things plus a pair of lower arm bushes when it arrived a month late! there was only one complete bush. Phoned them and they told me that the bushes are sold per half so if I wanted two complete bushes I would have had to order four halves :) who the hell would buy one half ?

I tend to only use mini spares for parts and somerford for panels

Totally agree, took about 3 weeks for my order to arrive and there was no communication at all.

My opinion is Minispares are SO GOOD why use anyone else?!

Yeah there not always the cheapest, but the quality of parts, quality and swiftness of service, its worth paying that little extra once in a blue moon (normally Minispares are competitive on price as well, if there not its because its not like for like and the other shop is offering an inferior part and or product. also, Minispares has its occasional group buys and specials.)

If there is ever an issue, its sorted out right away without delay.

(I will take my 50% discount now Simon! :))

Buy seriously, use minispares! Its not worth the hassle using anyone else!
