I live in Australia and I've ordered parts before, generally no trouble at all.

Last year I visited the UK and was lucky enough to attend the National Mini Cooper Day at Beaulieu (I think I'm actually in a photo somewhere on here >_< ). I bought quite a few parts, including a whole 7.5" disk brake kit from the Minisport stand at the Cooper Day. A very nice chap at KAD helped me over the phone with a few small parts and I even got my VAT refund from him shortly after I returned to Oz, plus the nice man at the BA counter at Heathrow let me sneak my 29 kg suitcase on the flight home without penalty. :P

Unwrapped some of the smaller brake kit parts recently as I finally start putting bits of my car together and realised the splines haven't been machined into this drive flange  and it's not like I can pop in for a replacement. Oh well, live and learn eh? ;) I tend to order elsewhere now.

(Was still a great trip - you lot aren't as bad as people make out :))

I've had similar problems with them... Order a chocking load of stuff, all in stock then you get delivery to find something missing!! Always something daft that you need straight away for a project.
Then I end up traveling to mini spares in brum cus all the motor factors in Worcester are crap for having any mini bits or being able to get them.

i was building a car for a friend of mine and he ordered loads of bits from minisport. Not many of them turned up and even then it took weeks. On the order it said "items to follow" must be a couple of years now and they never did follow!!!.After saying this i used to stop by their shop quite regular when i was working up that way and found them to be excellent. So i think it is just their mail order service that is bad.If you get fed up of chasing them like we did and not having much joy with a refund then i guess they make lots of profit. What a great business plan they have.

Take money,ship nothing,don't tell a soul.

A tip I've recently picked up, if the goods don't turn up in a reasonable time, get on to your bank and ask them to "chargeback" the amount to your card.

Gotta say that I have had nothing but a good experience with them although sometimes the online prices are cheaper than if you just phone up....

my girlfriend too ordered some bits for me for my birthday, paid for next day delivery, turned up 5 weeks later, either she travelled forward in time and ordered the parts, or the online order was converted to a typed order, which was then sent as a tellegram, then it was converted to morse code which was deciphered by a squirel, who then spelt out the order using acorns and pine cones.....
