£80 for a 2.5 hp with a 25l tank, don't know about CFM but thats enough for a hobby unit , just used a similar one to spray mine no probs, it even comes with a 10m hose

Can you use compressors like that for air tools like grinders, air saws etc, on top of spray guns?

In general, both Aldi & Lidl do very good kit for very good prices from my personal experience. I bought an orbital car polisher from Lidl (to be fair i'v yet to use it) but iv tested it etc and it seems like an absolute steal at £20. I'v also bought spanners amongst other bits and bobs. All of it has been excellent.

My fella bought the Aldi version, was a good little compressor and im guessing it will be very similar! He'll probably get one of these too since some scum bag broke into the house they were renovating and stole the last one

I have an 'aldi' one which is great for using as a blow off source of air, pumping up tyres etc etc, but anything more than an air drill the motors continually going.. not enough grunt to power a ratchet, da or anything like that and would not want to use one for spraying or blasting.

damn, thats a nice finish - wish mine had come out like that - guess I'm just going to have to get the G3 and polisher out - the LIDL one is fine for hobby work, if you start looking for serious compressors for spraying your talking big money

not really, as long as you take your time, loads of prep, and prep some more, you'll get a good result like i did, but then again i did use thinned down rustoleum lol

a compareable one at Machine mart is £130 and it only has a 1.5hp motor not a 2.5hp, it's a
good buy

I doubt it from a 2.5hp, i have a 5hp in my shop, 15cfm with a 100l tank and i can still empty that with my orbital sander or cut off saw!
