Not exactly a revolutionary idea, but interesting nonetheless.Basically I need a small locking mechanism. The white box thing that is used on mk3 onwards cars is too big (wide) to fit my requirements.
I was thinking of using a mk2 lock. Does anybody know if they can be opened using a cable or metal strip like mk3 doors use? It will probably have to be solenoid operated in my case, and using the interior/exterior mk2 handles wont work for me...
If this doesn't work then I'll have to retreat to my crude improvisation, which will be to go to a DIY house shop and look at some door handles/locks that are used in building houses
I'm also still quite taken by the idea of not having doors at all
So you can touch the ground while in the car
