take your pick, right with rc40 straight through, left one straight through DTM 3" (mine :))

Doesn't really do an RC40 justice since the car with it fitted misfires all over the place and doesn't rev properly. Mine sounds awesome, will have to get a video tomorrow...

IMO that'll be too loud and won't be suitable for the engine. You may even end up losing power.

Get an RC40. they fit perfectly, sound great and aren't expencive. They're the correct size for an A series engine and with a normal tailpipe don't look anything too flash either.

But surely there's a difference between a performance exhaust and one that just looks like a performance exhaust? From the comment above it seems it will actually decrease power.

Well I have been quoted with out the exhaust 525 pounds TPF&T which isn't too bad so I will ring up tomorrow and get a quote including the exhaust.

Hegnirst I think you have sold me on that DTM, Sounds lovely. And I'm not worried about loss of power as long as it's not too bad.

What will I need other than the rear silencer to fit the exhaust? A new manifold and link pipe? Some links would be great if possible.

as long as you get an lcb and a inlet manifold with the link in between, you wont have power loss, i used to have that same exhaust on which can be seen here. ill show you before and after....

BEFORE (with rc40)

AFTER (with DTM)

same car, same acceleration, same road, same camera aha

might give you a better understanding of how much different there is

Heres a video of my RC40. Its a twin box system, centre exit.

Not best quality as its off my phone and at the start of the video theres a sound of my revving whilst its idleing but the rest of the vid is ok. Sounds much better in person.

Gives a nice 'womp womp' sound at idle and sounds good through the revs.

Maniflow are in my opinion the best sounding and more importantly the best fitting exhaust I have to my Minis.Cost a bit but quality is always worth it.
