The USA Mini community of DIYers doing ECU managed engines is very small. I installed a Canems ECU on my supercharged 1380 throttle body injected engine because the principal of Canems agreed to provide as much personal tech support by email/phone as required. The install and process of getting the engine running went well thanks to David's support. But I now realized ECU tuning an engine is way beyond my ability. I found a local Dyno tuner that is very good, but a bit too expensive to hop over there when something needs changing.

Does anyone out there use a Canems ECU and do their own tuning?

Try asking on www.turbominis.co.uk there is a dedicated ECU section and lots of knowledge.

The Turbo Mini guys are VEMs & Megasquirt centric. Canems designed their ECU specifically for Minis but may have introduced it a bit too late. There aren't too many users yet. I still have unlimited support from Canems but it would be helpful to have some users to network with.

I would say go and ask on TM anyway. There's lots of knowledge on DIY injection nomatter which ECU you have. You'll certinaly get a better responce than here. I think that there is a guy running the Canems.
