Cheers, should also point out the duct tape that had been used to cover the rust up. Even worse, the oversill had been fitted over the duct tape111

Hmm, just been back and looked at the pics, I think that doorstep may need to go. It looks far worse in the picture than real life.

Soon to be? I just paid for a skiing holiday over christmas - I'm already more than skint. Now I really need the tax man to give me back my £900 of overpaid taxes!

Had a couple of days free(ish) so got stuck into Barney!!

I've completed the welding on the drivers side..

Inner sill repaired and painted..

Posted Image

Hole in rear floor repaired

Posted Image

Sill painted prior to fitting..

Posted Image

I've just bought some new arms for my spotwelder so was able to use that on the sill edge..

Posted Image

The gold paint is weld through primer

Outer sill welded on..

Posted Image

Pile of rusty bits removed from the drivers side!!

Posted Image

I won't seam seal and paint till I've done the passengers side.

So.........onto the passengers side..

Outer sill removed..

Posted Image

Crap crap crap crap!!!

Posted Image

Arse!!

Rear floor..
Posted Image

Nothing else for it, time for a BIG hole!!

Posted Image

Nothing was savelable, rotten as a pear.

Posted Image

With a bit of luck I'll get a good day on it tomorrow and should have most of the passengers side done.

Watch this space!!!!

Right, Shifty, my mini will DEFINATELY be coming to you when I next need some proper repairing. :P

Looking good. Clean and good reply; I'm jealous of the owner, to be honest; he'll definately have piece of mind over this car when it gets back to him.

Looking forward to next update!

Simon.
