Had a bit of a setback today, when I came home the stupid winds had caused a powercut!!
Luckily it came back on so I could get started again..
Mmmmmm................Rust!!!
For this I've used the 3 Hadrian panels to make up the rear lower section.
Not a bad fit, took some fettling!!
And started on the boot floor.

Attacked the rust patch under the window..
Cleaned up ok so put some rustcure on it and then primer.
Finished off the bootfloor and fitted the rear valence
I also did the rust in the drivers arch as well(no pics!!)
Thats all the welding done now, just need to do a bit of grinding tomorrow and then seam seal and stonechip then he's DONE!!!!!

Stripped interior and boot:
Put the window in:
Tank out:
Lights back in and boot lid balanced on:
Carpets are down and the interior is at least sitting in the right place now:
And because it's winter I'm freezing and its already dark!
The car is booked in for its work and consequent MOT on Tuesday and I'm off on Saturday for a few days so I will have to try and finish the rest tomorrow! Got to reconnect the fuel tank, check the engine is running nicely, work out why my windscreen wash pump isn't working and a few other little niggling things. Should be doable. With a little luck and good timing I could even be on the road for christmas! (FINALLY!)

You should have told me about the work you were gonna pay the garage to do!!
While i'd got him in the air I would have done that for ya as well!!
Nice to see him coming back together, all you need is the red oxide and he's done!!

Yes I should have, but I wouldn't have had the money to pay for it. I can stick this on credit card and pay it off when I get paid just before Christmas. Plus I was hoping to do it myself before. But yeah, I'd have saved a lot of money.
I don't suppose you fancy another road trip do you?

But to be honest to do those few jobs would have only been £25, plus £15 worth of bits!!!

Glad your Mini will finally be sorted.
I'm dreading the day i decide to strip my Mini lol Not sure what i will find!
I too had a problem with my washer pump which turned out to just be a dodgy wire.
Good luck with the rest of it!
