Last time i went was 08 which was the last year at the hop farm and it was excellent. All the day-visitor minis were lined up in one place, and all the camping minis were about 2 minutes further away. Perfect for having a quick browse. At Bewl, i had no idea where any of the camping areas were to have a look, however the day minis were all in a very nice location.
The trade stands were excellent at the hop farm, but almost embarrassing at Bewl. Not to mention the nigh on total lack of any sort of auto-jumble.
MiniMedics of Charlton had a stand which i couldnt understand. They literally just had two steering racks, and a box of broken carbs and inlets, with a few old blokes sitting in deck chairs. Then there were a couple of professional cake and fudge stalls? Couldn't quite see the point of those, not to mention the fact, if you got anywhere near them, you'd get stung by one of the tens of hundreds of wasps attracted to the confectionary.
All the stands were in one area, and then there was minispeed and a panel trader all on their own in another field?
I totally missed all the concourse cars until about half an hour before the end of the day because they were tucked away on their own with no signposts to where to go to see them.
All in all, from my perspective as a day-visitor, i have to day i was disappointed. It felt as if there were very few people there, at least a lot less than at the Hop Farm. There were loads fewer trade stands and arguably of a lesser quality/reputation than other alternatives who could have had stalls, such as minisport, somerford etc, and finally, everything was totally segmented and cut off from everything else. It was like walking a maze.

It's the first time i've been to it and i will definately think twice about going next year. £10 to get in for the day was a bit steep for what was on offer.
Im not going to lie i felt a bit stupid turning up with my dad expecting to see an airiel display only to realise it was a couple of women on a big swing, not the red arrows or an old fellow in a bi-plane skimming across the water!
Did anybody go up into the camping area's to have a look at the mini's up there? I saw the security on the gates and just turned around guessing that you had to have a camping wrist band to get in.

Those panel traders were not having a good time! They looked so fed up with that clubman estate on the sound off stand.
Ha ha thats my friends clubby estate! on the sat morning when the sound off area was set up we had a very angry trader from the other side of the trees moaning that he was shaking all his parts off his stand!!

Haha I saw that, it was funny!
I'm not surprised though that clubman estate was hitting 160dB!!!

No, I saw you're stand Roofless. I even popped in and had a browse. You were well away from anybody else, apart from the panel trader who no-one was going near. You're mini is a sight to behold, with that huge filter with promotive on the front (if thats what it is?).
