hold on, you lot are getting into a private convo here,

i want to know what the camping issues where?

come one spokeshave, what happened?

well nothing really happened during the camping except that for the price i paid i did at least expect to have a shower with hot water or constant hot water to say the least, would also have liked to have a p*** in a toilet that was open and working and not having to run a few hundred yards holding my crutch because the boggs were locked and out of use.Is it because i`m an old cogger and like my comforts or am i being too choosy,i was`nt too happy about the 7.5 hour trip down on the friday that only took 3 hours to return home on sunday but that had nothing to do with the show,i will not be going next year!

toilets are always an issue when theres alot of people to look after, im not an 'old cogger' lol so i dont mind peeing in a bush or in a dark corner, then i just went to tesco to curl one out.

plus the show is only a hour and a half from me witch is always a bonus.

smd is one of my favourite shows so its sad to hear you didnt enyoy it,
i dont think there will ever be an event that EVERYONE loves.

never mind, there plenty more

That just sounds like camping in general though. At the end of the day it is a Mini show, lots and lots of people went it must be mayhem to mantain the toilets aswell as SMOC do, aswell as the showers. To have running hot water in the middle of nowhere wasn't going to be easy, either.

Dont let these things put you off coming next year, you can get around them all somehow or another. :)

as said, you were camping, i would have understood a bit better if you were in a hotel or bnb. Should have seen how hygenic our cooking and eating was at the weekend as well.

showers are always crap when camping, i dont get annoyed at the venue, they did a damn good job to be honest! i get annoyed and the blokes goin in the showers with muddy boots, felt like knocking out some idiot who walked out a shower with boots covered in inch thick mud!

Awesome show tho!

Sorry to anyone that could not find the toilets and showers on sunday. Saturday night after having a few. I decided to take the toilets and shower sign.

I gotta say I have never been before and I really enjoyed it. Had a few funny moments. Watching Simon smash a fellow Basingstoke mini clubber round the head with a keg was pretty funny looking back. Although it was pretty dam scary at the time. I also enjoyed watching someone try and down 7 pints of milk and throwing up everywhere after 4. And I also enjoyed watching a curtain someone go ass over tit off the back of a chair and disappearing though the gazebo wall.

O yea and putting craigs tent on the toilet is up their with the funny moments. As well as putting rustys scaffolding pipe exhaust back on the car after it fell off in tescos car park using the only tool we had which was a wheel brace. Worth it though for joint 3rd place with a Bini.

Myself I cant wait until next year.

Think back to the IMM- what were the bogs like there eh ? Total crap - pardon the pun ! I think SMOC did us proud as ever - they really know how to put on a show. I understand the shift from the hop farm at Paddock Wood - new owners were getting a tad greedy......the BMF ( British Motorcycle Fereration) pulled its GEMS rally out of there a few years back due to this too. Yeah great show and I'll definitely be going back for more next year :))

Hey,your not a MOG,Give them a few years and those bright young things will be looking for the same thing we do,civilization.I have the same problem with biker events, they can't understand why I prefer to sleep in a warm, dry bed and go down for breakfast next morning.I can face any amount of mud after that, even the alcohol befuddled zombies that inhabit the morning after the night before.Drive carefully.
