since then ive restored a 95 mini mayfair for a friend, and done some work on my own mini.
i will get some pictures up soon, but for now i'll just tell you.
ive made a new bonnet from steel, using an old one, its now got a vent in it, almost like a gt40 style. i made some new bigger arches, some rear valance pieces that sit about 4" lowwer than the standard one, fitted some new GRP seats, and some other bits and bobs.
ive made it sit lowwer too, pics too follow.

i'm entering the concourse at minifest in a few weeks, so just doing abit of tidying up.
the front wings were just starting to bubble on the seams, so i'm doing that, and painting bits under the wings and bonnet to bring it back up again. i did alot of miles in winter last year, in the snow and ice, even drove to scotland for a weekend then too, so some bits need cleaning up again.
so after the next two shows i will be selling it, to start on my next project..........

i think the comments on the facebook page prove how good your car is!
but i agree than the new bonnet deserves a monster engine to be underneath
just seen this, alot like it some dont, but i love it! never fails to put a smile on my face.
anyway i got all the front end painted and back on, and the underside cleaned up and painted, ready for minifest at the weekend.
ive done show & shine before but never concoures, i only did it because my brother was doing his, who came second in the modified class!
but anyway i had a good day, with some nice feedback.
got some good pictures on the way back too.
been judged!
also i tryed some wheels on, some alley cats and my brothers revolites, i want to keep my wheels when i say the car so i need a new set.
some pics on the way home

i really like the mad rake it had in the pictures on the first page (just after you put the miglia arches on it originally).
i might do it to mine.

You could give us any information on how you move the gear linkage inside the car? I've never seen it done before on a mini.
Regards, Duncan
