i dont want to make it look heavy, its quite hard to get it looking right when your making something like this, bit of trial and error, worth it when its done though.
i'm not sure i'm liking the arches like that, got it outside and i dont think it looks right. there are two ways that i can make the arches wider, i'll just do the other way now, i think it will be ok.

butn in this picture there is a 60mm strip in the middle, but then it go's down to nothing at the ends, this isn how i will make them now.
got my arch mocked up, i think it looks good. got it outside and gave it a wash, gave it a blast round the block too, good to drive it again.
i tryed the front arches on too, i dont think i'll have time to do them before i mot it tough.

i didn't have time to paint it before the ace cafe meet, so it was still in primer.
well i've got my front end painted and my front arches done, pleased with how it looks

i've been working on my arches, but i did'nt put enough hardener in the fibre glass paste, so while it is setting i fitted my stereo head unit, i wanted it fitted out of the way, to keep it retro. so i've mounted it under the dash, next to the bonnet pull.

cut my front end off  managed to get it all off without wrecking it  cut it off at the door so that the A panels are still on the wings.
i'm making it into a flip front. i want to try the new motor in before i take it off the road, so i need to be able to put the front back on :?

the only thing is i cant spray my car in one go, i have to do it in two halfs.
i started with the back half, straightening the rear and side panels, preping the wheel arches and the boot lid, then painting it all.

got my windows back in, but had to have a play first. i broke my last windscreen, so i lost my DUNLOP sun strip, so what i've done is paint the inside of the window the same colour as the car, so now i've got a BRG sunstrip
also i've added a little black stripe to the bottom of the silver one on the side.
after some late nights i got it done in time ( just )
the mini next to mine is my brothers, that i restored this last winter.
so thats it, thats how it is at the moment, well almost, i,ve made a rear diffuser for it and some side skirts, but i dont have any pictures of them yet. but i will be at MITP this weekend.
