Here's my dilemma:
My mini is running on 12" alloy rims that have seen better days so I'm looking at replacing them. I've always fancied the 10" wheels as I think they look much better on a mini
...... but
I'm currently running 8.4 discs (just had brand new discs and pads fitted for the mot), so will need to fit the 7.5 setup at around £280. Plus set of 10" alloys at around £180, plus tyres at around £160 (and some kind of 10" spare too) all comes to £620+
... whereas
I get a new set of shiny 12's, transplant my existing tyres (still in good condition), get some use out of my new discs and pads whilst saving myself £440+
.... So
Question is..... Is having 10" wheels worth the extra £440??? .... what do you all reckon??

To Do The 10" Wheel Conversion Or Not?

I'm in a similar situation to yourself, decided to just get a set of 12x6 instead. Can't be a lot different.

Unless you're really keen on the look or are trying to squeeze the very last bit of handling out of your mini I reckon you should save your money and put 12's on it. And this is coming from a die-hard 10's fan
I'm sure with your 'spare' 440 quid you could upgrade something else on the car which will give a greater performance gain
Like a new set of shocks or rubber cones and a rolling road session...

Even though I went to the expence of buying a set of 1100 Special wheels and a reconed set of 7.5 discs I wouldn't have paid £620.00,not just for the look. The wheels cost about£12.00 each, brakes £150.00,and I can't remember what the minifins cost.
