stick a full quarter panel on, it's quicker and neater than doing one repair let alone two

Come on, I'd expect better advice off you, we both know thats not the way forward.

I believe that repair panels for this area are now available? Failing that either make one or use a door step panel

i repaired the o/s/r 1/4 panel on the sons and will regret it every time i look at the car . the time it took to cut out, prep edge , step new panel , weld in , grind down , fill , primer was twice what it took to replace the complete one the other side

my advice replace the complete panel !!!

There's also a good chance the brace strip will be corroded as well.

If you do go the whole quarter panel route i would defo recommend the Heritage quarter panel as it is a good fit, this will also give you the chance to have a good look inside the companion box for rust and the heelboard close out panel

The brace panel is only spot welded at the front (2 welds if i remember) and at the back ours was seam welded.

The waist rail as it is called CZH426 is £34.06 from Somerford, this is a Heritage part.
