I've got one of them, it's fantastic! Keeps my 1380 cool when my standard rad would overheat constantly.

I admit the welding isn't great, but it works.

keep an eye on your heat temp when it goes inm so if doesnt work too well then it wont do too much damage dnt think there should be a problem!?

Unless you've got a mechanical temperature gauge (on my shopping list for this winter), there is quite a big delay before you see the temps go up - the voltage stabiliser takes care of that - and do you really want to drive round checking your temp gauge? Taking chances with your cooling system can be expensive

I am running the Chinese alum. rads in two cars. Both working fine.

Actually....I ordered one through ebay...the seller contacted me saying they were out of stock, so refunded me. Three days later they contacted me saying they now had them. I paid and received a tracking # etc. It was very efficient.
Six days later...guess what....two identical packages arrived. I got two rads for the price of one!

Before we all get excited about how bad Chinese goods are, perhaps we'd like to ponder where abouts other radiators/rosepetal wheels/etc are made.

Hint, the people might say "Herro" there.

goto agree with paul here alloy rad=radtec end of story, and also to be honest a clean proper 3 core rad will keep most engines cool

I've been using one for about 6 months now.

I too was a quite impressed with the delivery, quite quick and I could track it on it's journey across the globe.

My mini gets used everyday to drive to work.

And I live in Shetland, the most northerly and probably harshest place in the country (weather wise, my car is hit by waves whilst parked outside my house...) and the rad has been spot on.

The standard ones I'd been buying needed replacing every year as they just disintergrated completely.

Has anyone ran one of these for any length of time? I may get one but don't want to end up replacing it a year or two down the line.

As previously stated - 'China + Cheap = Crap'. Fortunately I haven't bought one but I know a guy who did.

They leak and you get what you pay for.

Not true! The majority of electrical equipment you have in your home is made in China. China does have its fair share of cheap crap but just because it's cheap and Chinese doesn't automatically make it crap. Did you friend contact them for a refund or replacement? How long did he have it before it leaked?

Update - Well 8 months on the rads just fine and survived the summer month's.

Ill update after jack's been and mister snowman.

But 260 quid( last time i looked) for a UK rad against 60 a china one with p'n'p i can have 4 and 20 quid change.

As previously stated - 'China + Cheap = Crap'. Yer but have ya seen the Crap the uk stores are selling for 4 times the price Rads not inclued .

Stainless that gose rusty pmsl alloy wheels that corode in 3 months and before some you say china crap they where top price of top stores uk made :) .

Theres some great UK private and small firms that make great stuff at a price and i do buy from them and will continue to do so.
