Hi,

Clean with a rag, and check underneath, normally is has the manufacturer i.e Lucas and a part number.

Check in a haynes manual or do a search on this forum.

could be a couple of differnt ones 45d or 59d. I brought a whole metro electronic dissy for £15, wouldn't it be cheaper to get one of those

It ought to be a Lucas type 59 or a Ducellier.

Ducellier has an external condenser screwed on the side.

Type 59 is much the same as a 45, it just has slider points - look for a little plastic "fork" under the heel of the points that fits around a peg:

It's been a while since the last post, but I had the same dilema... I found this great article from my local shop:

http://www.heritageg.....ur points.pdf

It's a .pdf file, so if you don't want to open it from here, just go to their web site (heritagegarage.com), and the link is on the bottom left.

I hope this helps!!
