Hi, I have a 2001 Y plate classic Mini Cooper sport, under the bonnet next to the horn on the n/s inner wing there is a multiplug just hanging down, It is on the same wiring loom as the horn and has 2 wires, 1 is black and the other is black/green. I was wondering if it was supposed to be plugged into anything or not ? if not what was it supposed to be for ?
I've just been surfing through some mpi wiring diagrams and I do believe that the multiplug should be for the cooling fan, the code reader socket is inside the cabin and has more than 2 wires coming off of it so it couldn't be that, does the cooling fan kick in and cut out as and when it should?

Definitely not the cooling fan as thats controlled by the sensor in the thermostat housing.
that still doesn't really tell us where the plug is supposed to be plugged into or what it is for???

Hi Nicksuth, I read your link and I see you also wondered what this plug was back in Nov 08, I just wondered if it was supposed to be plugged into anything or not ? thanks for all your replies as it seems to just hang down on all mpi Mini's, I guess its for aircon then, problem solved.Could be for AirCon if it's the one I wondered about - link
